SARAH DOBSON - Star News Editor

Hiya! I'm Sarah - the news editor at Star.

I'm pretty much a local lass - lived in Trimdon with my mam and dad all my life (apart from going off to uni at Leeds!).

When I'm not at work I LOVE shopping. You can never have too many clothes or shoes....or bags! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and going for a few cocktails in Durham with the girls!

I'm a typical girl - love girly films (much to my boyfriend's delight) and watching Friends. I have the whole series on DVD and can not wait for the film to come out.

My claim to fame is appearing on ITV4 with our very own Tim West. It's after they filmed the Tour of Britain Race in Darlington in the Summer. Oh, and I also sung at the Royal Albert Hall and Buckingham Palace in my teenage years. You wouldn't think it if you heard me singing but I used to love going to Stagecoach - and I'm sure Prince William waved at me back then!!!

With Star, I can't wait to get out and about into the area, meeting our lovely listeners with some fab stories to tell. I want to know what makes them tick here in our region and what they think about what's going on. I love how sparkly and showbizzy Star is and think it'll be great fun meeting all our local stars too!

Hope to speak to you all soon!! xx

LOUISE BOSTOCK - Star Journalist

Hi, I'm Louise Bostock, the only Yorkshire lass on the news team. I was born and brought up in York, but I saw the light and moved up the A1 to Darlington.

My hobbies include horse riding, picking up a few rosettes along the way for show jumping.

I love shopping, especially if it includes stopping in all the shoe and designer shops along the way.

I have a wierd taste in films, with my DVD collection ranging from gangster to romantic films. But, my most favourite has to be Casino because its got everything a girl wants in it.

My claim to fame and to this day is my most embarrassing moment was appearing on daytime telly during the Anne Diamond and Nick Owen era. They were filming at the National Museum of Photography Film and Television in
Bradford on the same day I happened to be on a school trip. They picked me and two others to tell them what we thought of the museum.

As a Journalist, my most memorable career moment has been interviewing Spandeu Ballet's Tony Hadley in 2006, just hours before he performed at Durham's Gala Theatre.

2 things about myself:- I love chocolate...literally anything covered in the sweet stuff, Would love to own an Aston Martin DB9.

What I love about Star Radio it the fact we celebrate the stars in our communities...those who work really hard to make our communities great areas to live.

Rebecca O Neill -Star Journalist

A proper Northern lass brought up in Newcastle. Went to Uni in N.Ireland and Leeds. Now live with my Mam, Brother, Sister and pooch.

Love handbags, listening to music, curling up on the sofa with a glass of Rosé, going out with friends oh and I'm a BIG film freak! Hate spiders and messy people!

Best moment as a journalist was meeting Sir Alan Sugar, Gordon Brown and the North East's footy managers! Before I came to Star I worked as a freelance journalist but I love Star Radio because it's...
